AMTuned is an authorized dealer direct to Pauter and uses Pauter connecting rods as our choice for the EA837 platform. We have been using Pauter connecting rods in our engine builds since 2019. We love their products and use them in our builds!
As of 12/18/24 we are the first company to incorporate asymmetrical piston skirts into the EA839 aftermarket piston design. We use a larger skirt on the major thrust side and a smaller skirt on the minor thrust side of the piston. The advantages of this design are numerous, including a piston design that is lighter and generates less friction since there is less surface area on the minor thrust side. Thus results in a lighter yet stronger piston design that stays cooler during operation from less heat being generated. We also incorporate a engine bank specific offset to make these pistons run as quiet as possible.
We have designed these pistons with the "mild to wild" spectrum of enthusiast in mind. Components and piston design are capable of handling over 250 HP per piston (1500hp per set). Compression ratio is 9.5:1, 93 Series pins to handle whatever you throw at it, Nitride ring package, and JE's 2618 Alloy because it is the best! These pistons can work in a bore range of 3.3267” through 3.3279”. Exceeding this bore range may bring excessive cold start piston slap. Have more questions?
