Our proprietary AMTuned Spec JE piston for the 4.2 R8, RS4, and S5 platform. These will mate with factory connecting rods or our aftermarket options! Designed with the best possible combination of strength and weight, these 2618 alloy pistons offer a offset pin to promote smooth and quiet operation.
These pistons are a great option for our sleeved engine blocks, and also work with factory Alusil bores. Minimum bore spec is 3.3267" (84.5mm) for these pistons. We have tried various bore sizes on these in the 4.2 engines for mild to wild builds and have seen that you will start to notice cold start piston slap when surpassing 3.3290" bore size.
These pistons require a custom tune and will work great on 93 octane, but really shine on higher octane fueks or a ethanol blend.
