We have reverse engineered the plasma coating footprint on the EA825 engine and designed a sleeve to mimic the same area. This creates a new bore, bringing a new life cycle to the engine which is the only proper way to perform a full rebuild. We maintain the 86mm factory bore size.
We offer inspections free of charge for engines that are rebuilt. In the slim unfortunate event that your engine is not able to be rebuilt, we can source core parts for purchase. If you would like a basic inspection and tear down and not proceed with the engine rebuild, our charge is $750.00. The engine will not be re-assembled.
Customers must establish contact prior to shipping. Purchase of the desired engine rebuild stage in full is required before work begins. Shipping to or from our facility is not included. Long blocks are to be delivered to us without accessories. Accessories include: Oil Filter Housing, Water Pump, A/C Compressor, Alternator, Accessory brackets, Oil Cooler, Exhaust Manifolds, Engine Mounts, Knock Sensors, intake manifolds, Fuel Rail's & lines, Injectors, Coil Packs, and Sensors. Spark plugs can be left in the engine but rebuilds will not include spark plugs.
WARRANTY INFORMATION: We offer a 12 month warranty for any of our stage engine builds. We do not warranty tuning/fueling/maintenance related damage to the engines. Please ensure you are using new fuel injectors on all engine rebuilds as we do not cover fuel injection related failures. Our warranty does not cover any labor or parts to install/remove the engine from the vehicle or transportation to our facility. All warranty work is only available at our facility. Inspections on any warranty work are free of charge regardless if the engine is warrantied or not. Any approved warranty work will include free shipping back to customers located within the continental USA. Burble, overrun, flame, backfire tunes will void any and all warranties.
Engines must be shipped directly to our facility at the following address. Purchase and tracking needs to be completed and sent to AMTuned prior to engine arrival. AMTuned is not reliable for shipping damage of any kind and it is the customers responsibility to arrange and pay for shipping to/from our facility. Always add insurance to your shipment, and over insure it!

AMTuned Sleeved Engine STAGE 0:. TURN AROUND TIME IS ABOUT 12-14 WEEKS AFTER PASSED INSPECTION.
- Complete tear down of long block with professional cleaning
- Fully sleeved block with straight cut AMTuned spec sleeves, finished with a plateau hone which requires virtually no break in time
- Final bore finishing with torque plate
- New OE Audi pistons with ring packs
- Complete timing service utilizing OEM & OE parts
- Cylinder head refresh including cleaning and inspection. Replacement items include new guides as necessary, upgraded valve guide seals, and gaskets. Valves will be tested to ensure they are true, replacement valves will be invoiced as needed. Cylinder head mating surface will be skimmed to ensure optimal sealing during install. Valve seats will be cut, and assembled heads are pressure tested.
- Replacement items include main bearings, connecting rod bearings, piston's, all engine o-rings, gaskets, and seals, timing tensioners/rails, valve guides, valve guide seals, TTY bolts.
- Full professional assembly. Long block will be fully assembled, sealed, and palletized.
AMTuned Engine Stage 1: For those that want stronger pistons, and head studs to push past some factory limits while having more safeguards. Turn around time is about 12-14 weeks after passed inspection. Includes everything in our Stage 0 package with the addition of:
- Supertech valve spring kit
- AMTuned Point ONE Performance head studs
AMTuned Engine Stage 2: For those looking to run large custom power adders. Turn around time is about 16 weeks after passed inspection. Includes everything in our Stage 0 package with the addition of:
- JE AMTuned spec 10:1 compression full round piston package
- Pauter Machine connecting rods.
- AMTuned Point ONE Performance head studs
- Supertech valve spring package
AMTuned Engine Stage 3: Full Send Build. Turn around time is about 16 weeks after passed inspection. Includes everything in our stage 0 package with the addition of:
- Fully ported cylinder heads
- JE AMTuned spec 10:1 compression full round piston package
- Pauter Machine connecting rods.
- AMTuned Point ONE Performance head studs
- Supertech valve spring package
